Calling all chocolate lovers!!!
I have a sure fire way to satisfy your sweet tooth without the excess sugars and fats found in chocolate bars.
These are good. Actually they’re amazing, and you NEED to make them!
Finally, a healthy way to indulge your taste buds without wreaking havoc on your diet.
Ground flax helps give a fiber boost, agave offers the sweetness we all love, and sunflower seeds not only provide vitamin E, they also compliment the nutty flavor of almond butter.
So there ya go, a chocolate snack that benefits your health, has a great taste, and requires minimal effort to make!
Chocolate Almond Protein Bites
1 Cup Oats
1/3 Cup Sunflower Seeds
1/4 Cup Ground Flax
1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
1 Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
1/3 Cup Agave or Honey
1/2 Cup Almond Butter
3-4 Squares Dark Chocolate (about 15 grams)
Using a food processor, add the dry ingredients and pulse until blended into a fine mixture.
Next, add the agave (or honey) and almond butter. Again, pulse until combined.
Roll the mixture into balls (I made 22) and place on a flat surface.
Now things will get messy (hehe).
Melt your chocolate in the microwave and drizzle over the tops.
Set in the fridge to harden the chocolate, or just dive right in, I won’t judge!
If you’re watching your waistline, take comfort knowing these are each 90 calories (5g fat, 9g carbs, 3g protein)
