Overnight oats are a delicious and satisfying option for any meal or snack.
I like making a large batch to keep in the fridge for an easy “on the go” option.
Steel cut oats are less processed then rolled oats, provide a good dose of fiber, and a great complex carb to add to your diet!
They take 4 simple steps:
Yield: 2 cups prepared oats.
1) Measure 2 Cups water and 1/2 Cup Steel Cut Oats into a saucepan.
2) Cover and let boil for around 3 minutes (careful the water doesn’t boil over!)
3) Pour into a glass storage container and store in refrigerator overnight (or 6-8 hours).
4) Mix up oats and add in your choice of protein powder, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, etc!
I opted for 1 Cup cooked oats, almond milk, dried cranberries, pecans, and chocolate protein powder!
